I’ve locked myself out of my apartment…What now?

In the event you lock yourself out your apartment or have lost your FOB/keys there is a locksmith available at all hours. Charges Apply. Action Lock service have strata-issued access to Sundance and can obtain access to your apartment in the event you are unable to.

Please note that all engagements are between yourself and and Action Lock Service. They have no involvement with strata or building management. You are not obliged to use Action Lock Service and may use any other locksmith you desire.

Action Lock Service Information:
The on-call Locksmith is available for work at any time outside our normal working hours of 8.30am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Currently the call-out fee, which is inclusive of thirty minutes labour on site starts from $220.00 (inc GST) and is payable by cash or credit card on completion of the work. In certain circumstances, payment may be required prior to starting the job. In most cases, the Locksmith will be able to give the resident a cost before attending site.

The $220.00 service call will cover weekends and public holidays 8.00am – 8.00pm, weekdays 5.00pm – 10.00pm, 6.00am – 8.30am. Outside these hours, the service will be $330.00 – $440.00. Additional time over the initial half hour period is charged at $90.00 per half hour.

The on-call Locksmith can be contacted on our main phone number 08 9240 7200 which will transfer to their mobile phone. In most cases the Locksmith will be able to answer the phone, but if a message is left he will return the call as soon as he is able to.

What if I call an ambulance, how do the ambos reach me?

Sundance Council of Owners have issued a building access code to St Johns Ambulance service. This allows them access to the lobby and lifts to your floor. You’ll have to manually open your apartment door for them.

If you live alone, are elderly or have disabilities, you can apply to install a lockbox on your doorframe and leave the access code with St. Johns. To preserve the appearance of our common areas Sundance has rules regarding the lockbox type and the location where it can be installed. Please contact the Strata Manager for more information or to apply for permission to install a lockbox.

I am receiving a parcel or courier delivery and have asked for it to be left in the lobby. Where is it?

For your convenience, all uncollected parcel and courier deliveries will be placed on the Deliveries Shelf next to the Bin Room, on the ground level.

Please note that while this area is CCTV-monitored, Sundance cannot accept liability for lost packages. Items you have delivered to this foyer area are stored at your own risk. For more secure delivery options please contact Scarborough post office.

Is it possible to be exempted from Sundance’s Food Delivery Restrictions?

Sundance’s house rules state that residents must be called by the courier, via the intercom, to collect food deliveries at the lobby front door. This process was set up in response to security-related incidents as well as the Covid-19 pandemic. It ensures that unauthorised access to Sundance is minimised.

Apartment owners can obtain a permanent exemption for residents who have have long-term physical disabilities as well as the elderly. Contact Strata Manager

Temporary exemptions (Pandemic quarantine, loss of mobility due to injury) can be obtained by written application to the Strata Manager. Evidence must be provided. Please allow 24-48 hours for approval.
